NSE IPO Starts Today: Initial Bidding Begins for ₹22,569 Crore Offer

The highly anticipated NSE IPO started accepting public subscriptions on September 17, 2026. The offer, worth ₹22,569 crore, has a price range of ₹1,700 to ₹1,785 per share and will be open until September 21.
The IPO is priced between ₹1,700 and ₹1,785 per share and includes a sale of up to 12.64 crore shares by current shareholders. Since this is a complete offer for sale (OFS), the NSE will not receive any funds from the share sale.
The IPO will remain open until September 21. The preliminary allotment date is set for September 22, and NSE shares are expected to begin trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on September 24. Retail investors can apply for a minimum of 8 shares, which will cost ₹14,280 at the highest price.
Before the public offering, NSE raised ₹6,746.18 crore from 189 institutional investors through its anchor book. This allocation included significant domestic and international investors, with shares priced at ₹1,785 each.
Early bids on the first day showed interest from both institutional and retail investors. Reports from Reuters indicated that by 10:20 AM IST, bids were received for about 0.09 times the available shares. Subsequent reports showed an increase in subscription levels during the morning.
As of the morning of September 17, the unofficial grey-market premium was around ₹125 per share. This grey-market premium is an unofficial measure and can change before listing; it does not assure the final listing price or returns.
